Problem
Crafters buy cut files one by one on marketplaces with 10–20% fees. I wanted a catalogue-scale store with memberships, instant downloads and licences I control.
What I built
- Vendure (Node/GraphQL) backend and Remix storefront for 35,000+ products with search, facets, themed collections, free downloads and batch ZIP.
- Paddle checkout with membership tiers and single-design licences; transactional e-mail; custom-SVG request form.
- Disaster recovery: production VPS and database were lost in Aug 2026. Rebuilt the catalogue from a 2025 dump and 263k S3 objects, audited metadata, added GIN indexes and facet-count performance work, moved to a near-zero-cost hosting plan.
- Machine API so other apps (Stylr) can pull source designs server-to-server.
Result
Store back online with the full catalogue. The design library now feeds Stylr's studio feature.
